Wingle connects you with passengers on your same flight and allows you to chat with them while you fly. For the moment, the chat function is only available during the flight. You can still use the app before and after your flight to browse activities and experiences wherever you are flying to!
To keep the best experience and ensure that there are enough Winglers on each flight, Wingle will be enabled progressively across more and more routes. Stay tuned to our Instagram account to know which routes are enabled or check directly on the app!
Wingle is already available on iOS, and the Android version is coming before summer
Wingle does not handle any of the in-destination activities. They are managed by Viator and its partners, so please get in touch through the channels mentioned in your confirmation email.
As any platform, Wingle needs some personal information to create your profile, provide personalized activity recommendations and enable the app to work. However, we keep this to a minimum, and will never store any of your conversations or media shared on the Wingle chat. That’s why chats disappear after the flight. Wingle does store basic information such as your name, email, age and profile elements (Wingle DNA, and profile pictures) as well as flight history to deliver the Wingle experience. When you delete your account, we delete the information.
Other passengers will only see your name, age and Wingle DNA when they click on your seat. They will not see any pictures at the start. In order for them to see your pictures, you need to give them access to your profile.
When you land, the seat map and chats disappear. For two reasons: privacy and to keep the expectation. It’s now or never.
The golden rule is very simple: keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity turned on in your device.
Wingle does not sell the experiences directly, but is connected to Viator, a global experiences provider. Purchases for experiences are fulfilled through the Viator website and Viator secure payment method. Wingle does not store any payment information
Wingle’s core functionality, the chat, works offline. What does this mean? Well, it means that Wingle chat does not require an internet connection to work. Hold on, but you’re telling me to keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on… how is that? Right, we need you to keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology ON on your phone, but without the need of an internet connection. Just keep them ON, but don’t worry about internet. And if you were wondering, yes, it is perfectly safe to keep them on during your flight, you can even keep them on with flight mode activated.
NO. The Wingle seat map does not show the exact seat location of other passengers. Rather, the app shows «illuminated seats» randomly allocated on the app’s seat map. Wingle is stalker-proof.
Of course. If there is anyone that you want to block during your flight, for whatever reason, you can block them on the app. Additionally, Wingle also allows you to report a user in case of offensive activity.
